The CD400 screen has about 16 PLCC-2 side LED (same as the interior light).

I did mine last night and it turned out really good. Pic with phone so colors are not 100% to naked eye colors are solid black and white.

On my way home i noticed my rev counter doesn't go past 2k and sometimes stays at 0. Hope it's just a bad connection. Also when you desolder old led's be careful not to lift pads. Led's have large contacts so they need to be heated up properly.

Hi Mates,

your solder iron should not have more than 350°C, just give the led on the board some solder on both pins.
If done, just heat both pins at the same time with a little more solder so you can move it with the solder iron simply away.
After that just clean the pads.

For the rev counter it sounds like you put it too tight to the ground plate. Check the gap there, must be around 2-3mm.

Well just an Update Day two still over the Moon with This
I can Drive about now Without the Big Red Display intruding into your Vision when Driving
The Blue is so Shuttle and is Such a Pleasure to look at Without Distracting you like the Red Does,
The Blue is Just Perfect i love it :cool it is so much Better and Less Tacky
I Really do Recommend this. But if you Have the CD400 Display you would have to Change that Also To Match
But with the NAV 500/600 Display you only need the Clock Display Color Changing
Do not forget Cornishtaz can do This in his Trader Section It is Tricky to Do so if you are not Confident give him a Shout.
