The battery on my 2011 2.0 cdti J needs changing so picked one up from ecp, everywhere I have checked have said it's a 100 type battery it needs, but the one from ECP is too short and doesn't fit in the tray fully. Looking at the dimensions online it is 278x17x17cm, but the one in the car at the minute is 310x17x17cm and has a 108 printed on the top. Ive had a look around and the next one is a 110 model which is the correct size but just wanted to make sure or check if anyone else has had the same problem. When ive done a search for insignia batteries it suggests the 110 type. Any help would be grateful.

All aftermarket batteries are smaller in size for some reason although it will still fit.
I've go for the bigger one if your budget can afford it.
I always get a higher rated battery when I have to buy a new one.

You are aware that the tray is adjustable in size aren't you? The end plate that goes against the battery can slot into different positions. It's actually a good idea from GM

I wasn't aware but thanks. I went for the larger one anyways as it was a higher ampage.
