USB Port Power Boost

Hey Guys Smile

Anyone know if it's possible to boost the amount of power going to the USB port? My phone charges sooooooo slowly via the USB.

no mate try a USB converter in the cig socket works much better

I actually have one of those but didn't even think that it would charge the phone faster! Ha. Any idea what kind of power the cig lighter passes out to the USB adapter?

no idea mate but they seem to charge my phone quicker than the cars USB

Will give it a go then Smile could do with one of those electrical checkers (whatever they are called) for measuring the output from various electrical sources!

Guys, be very careful what you buy from ebay regarding cheap USB chargers. I bought a 'Griffin' for less than £2. It turns out that it almost blew two brand new phones in the car that me and the missus had plugged in. It was surging power too high and I have since found out that most Griffin USB chargers are fakes so beware. Instead, I was recommended to the Anker, link here:
