the ones with the built in tweeters put in the front and the ones with out in the back
the extra tweeters in the doors makes all the difference even the missis said what have you done to the radio it sounds much better the sound is much richer with them that way
30:th-Jul-2014, 22:33:17
Mate are these the one with tweeters in speakers? 400705000116 240watt because the other ones are 280w and only has the black part in the middle
30:th-Jul-2014, 22:44:23
yes the ones with the tweeters in the middle put them in the front
this will give a better sound believe me. also the wattage will only be as high as the head unit puts out so you won't get anywhere near 240watts
30:th-Jul-2014, 22:47:04
Yeh i understand that im just say are the 240w speakers the ones with tweeters lol i dont know how else to explain about them lol

I have a solid clear one and a clear with black strip.... now i didnt get manual and currently waiting to fit them now
anyone looking for a good 3.5 inch replacement center speaker
i can recommend this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BOSS-AUDIO-BRS...2a14876b57 much better speaker than the standard one it lets alot more bass out and overall the sound is much better you can see this specker move with the sound unlike the standard one i have been using this for a week now and i think it is very good for the price perfect fit just needs to be wire in. and here is clip of it working. you can see how well it moves and kicks the bass out just lift the grill off your speaker and see how bad the standard one is

26:th-Dec-2014, 17:58:44
Mate when you can could you tell me which wires you wired where please for tweeters x
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
just make a note of the colors for left and right
cut the connector off add two spade clip connectors one small and one normal then connect back up the same way they were originally the tweeters you had did need trimming to fit the holder for the tweeters and hot melt glue to hold them together but check the fit and make sure the covers fit back on before you glue it all together
27:th-Dec-2014, 22:16:04
All ordered Lewis, it says delivery is between jan 2nd and jan 6th so i'll let you know when they arrive, thanks Tucpal for the recommendation
28:th-Dec-2014, 23:51:38
will do as soon as they arrive
31:st-Dec-2014, 20:07:14
Good news Lewis, the speakers arrived. I installed mine and I like it. Its not a massive sound difference but you can now hear voices from the top which is quite cool. When I took the grill off to my amazement there was already a speaker in there but it wasn't working. It was a Vauxhall speaker so the car must have come with it May be other SE,s have them so might be worth somebody else taking off their grill to find out
i have heard of this with a few others also
weird how they put the speaker in and then just dont connect it up glad your happy but now you need a good set of door speakers and tweeters and you will be much happier there is a link here about that http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-how-...e-speakers
just an update on this
i have now changed the speaker above to this and find it much better quality and make also a perfect fit it just goes in with no problems at all Blaupunkt GT 352 SC. 120W. 3.5 INCH. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321413127606?_...EBIDX%3AIT it has a tweeter built in and it works well with the alpine door speakers and BMW tweeters i have also installed i will link this post also http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-Speaker-help-needed

How much do I owe you mate? tucpal Wrote:just make a note of the colors for left and right tucpal with the connectors on the speakers, which legs is neg and pos? Also I been looking on ebay for some speaker connectors with wire already connected but can find any :( mate that centre speaker the same make of 6.5" thinking of getting http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Blaupunkt-GTx-...4ad6011c58

are you on about the door speakers lewis if so why not
but i thought you had already replaced them for the alpine ones ? so no real need and it was rusty that found the connectors for the door speakers
21:st-Jan-2015, 20:35:07
I just ordered the fitting rings so which coaxial speakers sound better? Rusty's Kenwoods or tucpal's Alpines?
I was thinking of fitting these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pioneer-TS-G1722...B006K32CJI
21:st-Jan-2015, 20:47:14
I think it's all down to the user TBH. I've since fitted an amp for all the door speakers as the headuint kept cutting out when I was on a motorway with the music up loud.

I ve fitted alpine center speaker and waiting alpine twitters to be delivered. But I noticed that alpine coaxials dont have woofer rubber surrounding:
http://images.sonicelectronix.com/images...e1725s.jpg Kenwood and pioneer do have it so the may be better regarding bass: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/E0l4ZW_gyfE/maxresdefault.jpg
21:st-Jan-2015, 22:19:55
If it's bass your after you really want an amp and sub for best results.
I'm looking at getting an under seat sub something like this to help with the bass. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vie...1017217946 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

This flat sub looks very convenient. Since CD500 lacks of rca out you can add an amp using hi/low adaptors, right? Sub will be connected to rear speakers wiring?
21:st-Jan-2015, 23:58:40
There are some adaptor cables you can buy, will see if I can find a link for you.
I think most people take the feed off the rear speakers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

22:nd-Jan-2015, 21:35:03
Haha think I took some pics lol, really simple just need to run a positive from the battery to the boot.
then the RCA leads to the boot then run new wires to each speaker. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S
