wiper nightmare front

Front wiper nightmare
#1
Hi guys,

I'm having an absolute nightmare trying to source replacement wipers for my 60 plate Astra J.

I've had three sets so far, all A585S Bosch Aerotwins.

They have clips as per below, not what my current Bosch wipers have.

They will fit, but they don't clip into place, they just don't slide down enough.

Anyone else had this issue? The box even has my car written on it to say they are a direct fit... Help!

Ps, Tried Vauxhall.. They want £70 for a pair of blades!
Cheers

I did push the tab down yeah, these clips don't look like the Bosch ones I currently have on the car though.

So if you look here..

My car currently has 'Pinch tab' but I keep being supplied with 'Push button'

Hmm,

My wiper arms look identical, I'll get a photo today.

My blades fitted to my car now however are Bosch and have the 'pinch' tab style fitments.

I'll try these blades again later and will take photos too.

Cheers

May sound silly but can the fixing be swapped over?

I've not had to change my wipers yet so I've not looked at them.

That was my next idea, looking at swapping the 'rubber' if needs be. I'd much rather fit a whole new pair of wipers.

Yeah I've tried that, even tried 'levering' it down with a small screwdriver but even with my full strength they won't clip in. I'll try again tonight & get photos/video

And how far the new one sits in..

I've stripped them down and rebuilt the old ones with the blade from the new. They aren't great & haven't cured the noise I was trying to fix. They make noise when they start the downward sweep once at full reach which is annoying.

Think il try a set of cheap eBay ones.

i got rid of the Bosch wipers for the noise reason
they look exactly like my old Bosch ones apart from the little arm i dont remember that

So do you not get the noise with GM wipers? Il have to check the price on masterfit club.

I didn't think the wipers were that expensive, I'm sure my local dealer said they could do them for around £40 for me.

If your dealer is still been crazy on the price front might be worth trying Autovaux
