Brake Noise??
#1
Hi,

I have a 2012 J, 1.4 Turbo, 28k.
I have had a brake noise for a while, not your usual squealing noise but more of a shim noise, anyway, today I was braking from around 30mph to 0 and I had a loud clicking noise coming from the brake? I wasn't breaking hard, I have no lights etc on the dash but the noise was strange.

I'm going a 10min drive later and will see if its still there and if it is, I'll take all pads out tomorrow for a clean, as they have a lot of meat left on them!

Was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

Cheers.

Cleaned out all the brakes on Monday, man were they dirty! Especially the rears. It has, for now, stopped the brake noise, I'm hoping it doesn't return! Cheers for the advice mate!

On a side note, I realised I'm gonna need new rear pads soon, I know how to fit them etc, its just for when I have the handbrake to do, how do I calibrate it? I have the EPB.
