Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 6:th-Apr-2015 Thanks mate they're defo worth getting as long as you don't overpay for them. Think mine were £30
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 6:th-Apr-2015 That's not to bad well currently at £34 so fingers crossed lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 6:th-Apr-2015 Extra boot light installed and again it has an led bulb in it like the rest of the cars interior lighting ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - tucpal - 6:th-Apr-2015 very good makes all the difference Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 6:th-Apr-2015 It should do at night time yeah
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 6:th-Apr-2015 Another photo of them but this time at night don't think these larger SMD LED bulbs are as bright as the new smaller ones which I have in the interior roof lights! Still look better though ![]()
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 7:th-Apr-2015 Coming along nicely mate. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 7:th-Apr-2015 Cheers! Next up for this month is the chrome trim for around the windows and the visors from you
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 12:th-Apr-2015 Bought myself some Team Heko wind deflectors from a user on the FB pages earlier today. Really didn't have the money for them but been after these for a while and they were pretty cheap. Should be here next week so will install and take some photos then ![]()
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - tucpal - 12:th-Apr-2015 cool lol RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 12:th-Apr-2015 Getting carried away with all these mods now are Hekos the ones you have mate?
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 12:th-Apr-2015 Facebook page you say..? I've been tempted to get a set of these off ebay. I've resisted so far, but have seen a couple of J's with them on and the temptation is getting stronger lol Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 12:th-Apr-2015 Haha yeah i didn't even realise they were something I wanted until I saw them on @tucpal s car the other week! Then I looked into them a bit more and thought they would be useful too ![]() But yeah, I saw them on ebay too, they're around £30 new I think. Saw them on the FB page second hand for £22 delivered and snapped them up
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 13:th-Apr-2015 They do look good. Gives the car a slightly different edge. What Facebook page was it? Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 13:th-Apr-2015 Good to hear! Will put them on right away when they come anyway and them I'll add my window chrome trim when it comes too ![]() It's just out forum FB page. Screenshot below for reference as it shows the item and also the page name ![]() RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 13:th-Apr-2015 Thread with link in it here http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-NEW-FACEBOOK-GROUP Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 13:th-Apr-2015 Thanks for that rusty was on my phone so couldn't link to the thread or page
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 14:th-Apr-2015 Nice buy look forward to seeing them on ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 14:th-Apr-2015 Cheers. I am too hehe. Just waiting on my chrome trim to be made and shipped now and then the exterior will be well on its way!
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 17:th-Apr-2015 Balls! :( the deflectors arrived but one was damaged by hermes, trying to see if they can give me compensation for the damage now RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 17:th-Apr-2015 they should do mate. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 17:th-Apr-2015 Hope so! Such a shame because they look good too...front ones are fine but dunno if it would look daft if I just did the front ones and left the back ones..? Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Wind deflectors done...well the front ones anyway as I'm trying to source a replacement back one: ![]()
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 18:th-Apr-2015 They should but good luck getting it. I tried with DHL and got pied! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Balls :( well will see how it goes. Any idea if it's possible to buy a single deflector then? I've emailed heko but no reply yet RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Best bet id have though is eBay. But I'd have thought the chances would have been slim. Make sure you have images of the packaging as that's where they'll try to get out of paying out. DHL claimed I'd inadequately packaged my item and quoted T&C's Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Only had one problem with an item being broken and that was a tank sent with DHL I took pics of every bit of packaging so they couldn't get out of it at all, they did try thou. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 18:th-Apr-2015 Deflectors looking great @sheppy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Thanks think they look okay even with just the front two in place? Trying to decide if I should even both with the back two...
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 18:th-Apr-2015 I think they look really good I've got some myself just not been fitted yet. Seeing youre makes me want to get mine on asap lol I've kinda always only liked them on the front windows with the 5 doors but I must say there really growing on me these days with them all done Either way great job ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Haha you really should! Look pretty badass if I do say so myself :P hehe. A lot of people here have the fill set on and they look pretty smart! Thought they would look chavvy but they don't ![]() Thanks mate! Now go out there and get yours installed ha
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 18:th-Apr-2015 Lol Thats what I thought but I've been converted now and If I had a 5dr I would most deffinatly have the full set. And I will do ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 18:th-Apr-2015 If you have a 5 door fit them to all orbit looks silly IMHO. I've been put off buying the wife some as think they look odd on a 3 door. RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 18:th-Apr-2015 Definately agree.... Fit all or none at all. Looking forward to getting mine now. Little things eh lol Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Right guys! As you's all made me feel like the car wasn't worth owning without a fill set of deflectors on it, I spent an hour superglueing and taping the broken one back together :P haha. You can see where the glue is a little bit but doesn't look too bad till I can source another one to replace it: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 In case i can't find another to replace the one I repaired, anyone think colouring the white superglue marks in with a black sharpie would be the best way of minimising the visibility of the marks? RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Or tint spray mate, as a marker may wash off over time. RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Yeah was thinking that myself yanno as I have some spay tint on the way which I'm using for my rear lights a sharpie is waterproof though...
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Not as waterproof as tint spray thou. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Okie dokie, will give the spray a go can't wait to do the rear lights ![]() Also the photo I posted above of my car doesn't half make me wanna spray my alloys grey or black :-/ haha RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Not black mate can't stand black on black on black you need things to stand out IMHO. The colour I've gone for is really nice I was thinking it would be too dark but it's spot on I think, looks even better now the whole wheel has been done and it's got a clear coat on it. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Car's not black remember haha. Yeah yours does look really good actually! You may have covered this in one of the other threads but what did you use to spray them?
Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 19:th-Apr-2015 I'll get the link tomorrow mate. Here's a pic with the clear coat done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Cheers dude! Was the spray expensive? The hardest part for me would be removing the alloys :(. Damn! They look brilliant! That final coat of the clear spray really made all the difference! I'd love that colour on mine! Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 19:th-Apr-2015 It cost about £30 for the kit, i ordered a long time ago when I did the wife's wheels. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - bhalay207 - 19:th-Apr-2015 Good effort mate! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - DE5IRED - 19:th-Apr-2015 Well done mate looks even better now i think a dark anthracite would look great on your wheels with the colour of your car Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk ![]() Something like that Love the colour of your car btw Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 19:th-Apr-2015 @rusty2009 that's pretty good tbh! Guess it can't be applied with the alloys still on the car though? A link would still be good so I can check the stuff out ![]() @bhalay207 thanks dude! Didn't just wanna chuck them away ![]() @DE5IRED ooooo I like that colour a lot!!! I'll check our the stuff that rusty is gonna link me too and see what other colours they have . Really wanna change the colour as I don't think all silver suits my car. Glad you like the colour looks better in person too and when it's clean lol
RE: Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - Rusty2009 - 20:th-Apr-2015 Here you go mate http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-TECH-Gunmetal-Grey-Lacquer-Car-Alloy-Wheel-Paint-Filler-Primer-8-cans-EP5-/271290196621?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3f2a27e28d Far better to take the wheel off mate, I have one 1 wheel left to do from start to finish so can do a guide if that helps. Progress Thread: Sheppy1 - sheppy1 - 20:th-Apr-2015 Decent price that! And I'd be looking at buying it but I have no way of taking the wheel off on my own :(. A tutorial would be great nonetheless thoigh I think!
