Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
What happened this morning was that during acceleration the car (Astra J 1.6) behaved like misfiring, acceleration was slow and car was "Jerking" then Electronic Stabilization Control lit got on and Engine Light started to blink. After acceleration the car was running normally and idling normally both light went off. Next time when accelerating same happened again I do not know yet which lit came first on and which one first off - can check later. No codes found in engine section. What could this be?
Hi, I have recently purchased a 2016 GTC 1.4T Limited Edition and loving it. The car does, however, appear to have a fault. The ECO button (start/stop) does not appear to function. The LED on the button does not light up and nothing appears on the dash. I have checked the fuse associated with the start / stop in the engine bay box and it is fine. Does anybody have any ideas? Ive googled the issue and it doesnt appear to be a common issue...
About a year ago someone stole my antenna. I never replaced it because I use AUX 99% of the time, and generally only use the radio when my Mrs is in the car. However, we're going on a road trip to Spain this Christmas to visit her family and I would like to get my radio working again.
Now, I could just fit a new antenna, but I've noticed both my quarterlight windows have antenna in them. They also have wires coming off them, so I'm hopeful that my car has all the kit required to use the internal antennae for FM, and maybe even DAB. That way I can just fit a shark fin antenna to the roof.
The problem I'm having is getting the panels off to see where the wires go and see if I have any receivers attached. The panels are located behind the rear passenger seats and run down the pillar to the floor. I don't want to break them in the process. Also I'm not sure which one would be FM.
Can anyone offer any advice? I can provide some photos if it helps.

Hi All,
I bought my car about 6 months ago, its only 5 years old and had less than 40k on the clock. At first I had two issues with the car, the engine coolant light was coming on even though it had just been serviced and remote locking with the buttons in the car was hit and miss, sometimes they'd work other times it wouldnt, same with taking the key out, it wouldn't automatically unlock the doors at times.
I took it back to lookers and they spent around 3 weeks in total with the car (locking was meant to be fixed first time and wasn't.) I just recently topped up the coolant as it needed topping up however it's still warning me now 1/2 times every journey I make. The remote locking seemed to be fixed for a few months but the past 2 months it's been that bad that I've had to just get in and use the lock on the key to lock and unlock the doors.
I was wondering if this is common or not and how to try and fix these issues
Thanks
The rear light drives side has stopped working. At first, I thought it was a bulb problem. Bulb ok. So the next thought that it must be the bulb holders. But check that on another car and on the opposite side. I've ruled that out as well. So it can only be the wiring or the plug itself. Can this be bought separately? Or is it a case of tapping into the wiring loom with a 2nd hand plug.
Regards

Winter Tyres and Chris Knott
Hi, I'm often asked on club forums (and Facebook groups) about switching to winter wheels/tyres and whether an insurer will charge extra if you do.
As it's getting to that time of year again I thought I'd just reassure any Chris Knott clients that the insurers we use don't usually charge for this. However, if you are thinking of swapping your wheels we do have to log when you make the switch and then again when you go back to normal - so please let us know on 0800 917 2274.
Thanks,
Nick

My name is Eric and I am new to the forum. I was removing the wheels from my car to clean and prepare them for winter and noticed that the front coil springs have coil spring assister rubbers between the coils, 2 on each coil spring. What are they for?
My car is a 2015 65 plate Astra 1.4t Limited Edition.
