Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
I'm Stu from South West Scotland ( Near Dumfries )
Been lurking here for a couple of weeks now gleaning some info on the Astra I've recently bought for the wife. The car's a 2011 2.0 CDTI Elite in macadamia. Done 25k and is a minter. I've somehow managed to be driving for 25 years and never owned a Vauxhall till now.
I've had the car a week and first impressions are very good. Plenty go about it, comfy to be in and seems pretty well built. My only complaint so far is the amazingly naff CD400 stereo in it. I'm not sure what's "Elite" about not having bluetooth or being able to play mp3's in a 2011 motor. Anyhow, after reading the posts in the ICE section I've ordered M072 from Rob at Icebox Auto. This should improve matters.
Hey, just changed cars to a 2015 Astra J and it has a CD 400 Plus headunit. A bit confused as to what this unit offers.....
1. The car has a shark fin aerial on the roof but I can't get DAB to work, only get AM & FM when I chose Radio on the unit... i'm guessing that means no DAB?
2. I have Bluetooth - phone functions work fine - however I can't get audio streaming to work, ie play music from the phone to the unit... Manual says to press AUX more than once to get into audio streaming mode, but it just says AUX mode nothing else, so again guessing even though I have Bluetooth it doesn't do audio streaming is that right?
3. Lastly, USB.... next to the accessory socket I have an AUX in socket but no USB connection so i'm guessing that means no USB?
I assumed being the CD 400 Plus (it says that on the front of the unit not just CD 400) that it had all these features....?
does anybody else notice a problem changing from 1st to 2nd when red line 1st gear I've got 1.4 GTC M32WR gearbox
when im racing my mates pulling off at lights is fine but from 1st to 2nd sometimes crunches but its not that bad when traction control is turned on (if that makes a difference)
I'm having an issue finidng my paint code on the car (need a few chips touched in), I've seen there should be a sticker in the passenger or drivers side door shut, but I've checked and the only sticker is on the passenger side and just gives the tyre pressure, I've scoured the engine bay and cant see any sticker there either, is there a way to get the paint code from the Vin No. , or is there any other way I can confirm what colour the car is, its a blue colour but I think theres a few colours that are similar shades
I understand there is a difference between braking systems on the smaller-engined cars (POC 67) and the larger (POC 60) which means that choosing wheels becomes a little more exacting. The only online document I can find is in Greek or cyrillic alphabet.
I could call Vauxhall Technical support and ask but wondered if anyone has a quick and simple answer.
I expect it is to do with the dimensions of the callipers.
