  Fan speed button skickers?
Posted by: 75chrisc - 11:th-Apr-2021, 23:00:15 - Forum: Request for information - Replies (1)

Hi, I was wondering if there was anything like a sticker i could buy and replace the worn out fan speed buttons?

I have been able to find some for my other car (Audi A3 8l) but obviously a different size/shape and font.

Thanks in advance.

  Morning all..

Hi everyone,
Firstly thanks for a top class website rammed with quality information...
I'm from the east coast of Lincolnshire, a biker and proud owner for the last 5yrs of a 2014 Astra GTC..
As the name suggests everything's on a budget so I bought my car as a write off in 2015, spent 2 months putting it right, since then its never let me down... it does lack in a few of the optional extras though so needless to say thats how I ended up here.. So many of my questions have already been answered so thanks again everyone I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to a couple of long overdue projects..

Cheers....

Greeting all.

I am from Milton Keynes, Bucks, and am planning to get a GTC later this month/early next month, and do some basic interior and exterior mods to it before moving onto Engine mods.

But I have one question which bothers me.
I see often that some parts state it is for Astra J or Astra H etc, how can I tell which model the one I want is? worrying that the parts i buy will not fit the car.

Many Thanks.

Looking forward meeting you if there is meets around the area.

Bluetooth music streaming - does it work in your Astra...?
Posted by: UseThe4s - 5:th-Apr-2021, 13:10:27 - Forum: Electrical - Replies (4)

Hi everyone, I have a question for everyone who uses streaming music from mobile to car radio via Bluetooth. I just bought an Astra J, year 2014, with the Navi900 system. I lived in the belief that this year, sending music from a mobile phone to a car radio is a matter of course. If I haven't missed something, I can't. The car radio has been paired with the mobile phone without any problems and the hands-free mode with the telephone works without any problems. But when I want to send music from the iPhone to the car radio, the mobile phone does not offer this car radio as an option for streaming. The strangest thing, however, is that in the Bluettoth settings in my mobile, I have a car radio in the list of paired devices and it even detects it as an "in-car audio system". Can anyone advise where the mistake is?

Finally... Astra J GTC, 1.6 Turbo, SRi
Posted by: UseThe4s - 5:th-Apr-2021, 11:49:16 - Forum: Introduction Area - Replies (1)

Greetings to all Astra and car fans. I haven't written to the forum for a long time, but maybe this post will please someone. For the last 10 years I have been the satisfied owner of the Astra H Caravan, 1.7 CDTI. I take good care of that car and I've done a lot on it. Today, she has 324.000 km, but she is still doing well. However, in the last year or so I have somehow started to look around and peek at a possible successor.

My needs and requirements regarding the car have become quite refined over the years, so I was just looking for the right form. The only thing I knew at the beginning was that I wanted a manual, that I wanted gasoline, and that it would be white. I went through the whole spectrum of the used car market, and the possibilities were from the VW Transporter to the Audi A3 Smile.

A week ago, I was looking at the Astra J Sports Tourer, and even my guy went to see it in Germany. But it wasn't good, so in about two days I say to myself - I don't need the station wagon for anything today and the 5-door version is much nicer to me... So I lay in the 5-door offers of the white Astras for two days and at the end this came up... I say to myself: 95% of the time I still drive alone in the car, I take the whole family of 5 people and two dogs with it twice a year to my grandparents, the trunk for the weekend purchase of supplies to our shop is large enough and moreover... I have always wanted this car anyway... Big grin . A lot to the quick decision was that it was practically a demonstration car with a complete service history, in a condition that my head still does not understand. And when I got a big export discount on it in exchange for the 12-month warranty offered, it was a done deal. So "The White" is already standing in front of my house and is waiting for the registration documents to come from Germany ...

Fitting valve exhaust system on VXR/OPC
Posted by: toxx - 31:st-Mar-2021, 07:36:54 - Forum: Mechanical - No Replies

Hi there,

I've seen on a youtube channel a review for one Astra J OPC from Netherlands which had valve exhaust system installed , the man sad that everything is on 3" , deleted cat, deleted middle silencer, no brand exhaust or similar.

I wonder if someone here installed such a thing and how it was connected, as far as i know that valve needs to cut off one pipe and let another free, but VXR has only one pipe until the backbox

I've asked the guy on instagram he said he would send some pictures on how he did it but nothing yet.

I have the same setup on 3" pipe with only backbox but it's a little too loud, and police doesn't like that, was looking to either fit a valve system or install a sport silencer after the downpipe.
