nut oil sump size

Oil sump nut size.

Hey guys

Just a quick one.

Have a astra J 1.7 gtc diesel. Does anyone know what size socket is need on the sump nut to drain oil.

Mine on the 2.0cdti was a 13mm socket so would imagine it would be the same. But use a six sided 13mm socket and not a multipoint socket as the sump plugs can be tight and you don't want it slipping and if yours isn't a nut and is a torx it will be a T45 but mine was a hex head so was a 13mm socket will be either or.

Yeah mine is in the torx family which I hate have why it could just be a normal 6 sided socket is beyond me.

You could go online and put your reg into euro car parts and see if there sump plugs have the hex head as that is where I get my replacement from which is a hex head, as I always change the sump plug after an oil change.

Hey lain that's a good idea actually.

I been on euro car oarts and the sump plug that comes up is the one with the torx. But could no ask a favour could you type in your reg and the sump that comes up could u message me the part number so I can find it on the website.
