What looks better just black or black and red writing?

Black and other colour not red you want it to stand out IMHO
Keep the centre red tho.

Yes definately doing centre red ive vinyl wrapped it already and painted the griffin black. I was leaving it like that but someone suggested the writing being red. Not convinced though.

Whats the best paint to use? I was thinking modelling paint and a tiny brush. Then lacquer over the top.

Model paint use a syringe to fill the letters might be better

How about gold lettering? Black on red backround with gold letters. Can then match my calipers gold with red decals.

Ok for now im gonna leave it black and see what its like on the car. I can always change it, thanks for all the suggestions guys!
