Surely attaching it there is going to cause even more of a blind spot for you?
Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S
Retrofitted AFL, TPMS, Navi950, BT, DAB, Rear Camera, Infinity sound system, Towbar, Flexfloor & more.
I can do programming and retrofits using genuine GM MDI and Dealer software.

Hi Rusty
yes it does but having it in the middle wires across the dash would wind me up,i had the vectra elite which had sat nav built in but now as you know the astra, elite needs retrofitting. putting it on the right seamed the next best thing.

I fitted my sat nav up behind the mirror (or as close as I could) so it doesn't get in the way, I tucked the wiring in behind the headlining so it all looks neat.
retrofitted = DAB+, GM dog guard, GM reversing camera

I've just read my last post^^^^ and realised I've not explained it very well!
what I really meant to say is-
my nav unit has a suction mount/bracket that is above the actual nav screen, this mount is hidden behind the mirror.
The nav screen is just below the mirror, so looking at the nav is no harder than looking at the mirror.
