Welcome back to the VXOC FORUM.
Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Hello to all. I want to install parking sensors to my astra(my fault i didn't order them from factory). What's the difference between vauxhall kit http://api.viglink.com/api/click?format=...lot%20rear and aftermarket parking sensors? Should i give the extra money?
Well I have the aftermarket ones and only real difference is that the beeping noise comes from a mini speaker which you get with the kit rather than coming via the car speakers so obviously wouldn't mute any music you have playing...also aftermarket kits are massively cheaper than genuine vauxhall ones.
Bit of a faff to fit the aftermarket ones but once in they work great had mine for about a year now and never had an issue with them
I definitely wouldn't say so! Couple hundred kinds here in the UK to have vauxhall add it to your car, cost me about £20 for the aftermarket kit. It comes on when I put the car into reverse and the beeping is plenty loud enough too... Front parking sensors are a different story however, I think you'd have to have vauxhall do those as they're activated via a switch on the centre console
Holy hell! At £100 id have said maybe worth paying them to keep everything official and neat but no way would I pay that much for a 20 quid job you can do yourself! I have a tutorial on this site explaining how to do it if you need help

The car is still at the dealer. I have the big screen and navi 950. This is a quick picture I took yesterday from dealer. If it helps. I think that this kit down't show information on the screen.

I know its old thread but not worth it to open new one. I have both front and rear park sensors factory fitted but I dont have the display only the beep. Is there any way I can enable this one? Thanks in advance
Im new on this forum and I have the same problem. I have rear and front sensors and only the beep, i font have this on display. I activated few more thing via OPCOM, but didnt saw this option? Is there any chance I can activate it via OPCOM? And what is MDI, this is stupid question.
One more problem I have, I dont have this white ligh on dash board, image: https://prnt.sc/gfcjj8
You can't do it with op-com MDI is the dealer tool & it's not cheap £1600 upwards it's not worth buying a clone, then you need to pay GM to use software etc.
The white lights you may have the SMD's on the board which would mean just a case of swapping rings over for white white.
As for that display it's not possible without an IPC upgrade.
