I managed to get a tiny bit more wrapping done today
to the insignia i was made up it has the gloss black door pillars as standard
but typical vauxhall forgot about the small rear pillar and left it a dull black
so to make it blend in better with the tints and the gloss black door pillars i decided to wrap them gloss black
a very small detail but it does look much better.

....STANDARD....

.......WRAPPED......

i think i am going to plastidip the front splitter with mat black and some glossifier at the weekend
to make it match better and hopefully it will last longer against the stone chips it will get down there at there front.
Reply
Bloody he'll wrapping the small pillar makes a massive difference to the rear windows! That's lovely!

Splitter done black will make it look like a beast mate!

A bit more wrapping done today i first sorted out the mistake on the front bumper grill bars so they are now perfect
and i have just wrapped the chrome boot strip on the insignia gloss black using 3M vinyl.

Reply
Looks much better mate, any insight to why else you have planned?

a few more bits and bobs will be done this week

1, plasti dip the front splitter black with mat black and glossifier.
2, bluespark pro boost tuning box so should get about 200bhp.
3, reverse camera and dvd box for the navi 600.
4, wrapping a few interior bits and bobs.
5, fly eye the third rear brake light.

after that the future plans are,

1, twin exhaust.
2, irmscher side skirts.
3, 20 inch alloys from a bmw.
4, irmscher rear spoiler.

Wow it's going to look mint mate!!

These are the alloys i will be getting there real nice
but i wont use that brand tyre i will also have to wait till next year for these
as i need new tyres very soon so when they wear out i will get the 20 alloys
but the alloys are the last thing on the list of mods i will be doing
as i am prioritising the others mods first.

went pass a couple of insignias and they had grilles like the one you have wrapped, i.e they only haad chrome at the top of the grille, rest was black plastic,, are they a lesser model than yours?
Reply
the black grills are on the facelift models not the pre facelift like my one i know that much most likey sri vx line i think
sheepy i have been looking for them alloys for a bit i do like them there the standard 20 on the sri vx line
all the vxr steering wheel and gear stick are standard on that car
but not looking for alloys for a bit i have just spent a fair amount this week on other bits and bobs haha.
Reply
Oh I didn't know that about the alloys or even the wheel etc (rusty told me that was the case too though). But they're nice ain't they! They were 20s too yeah the cockpit in the car didn't surround me as much as I thought it would! Didn't feel much different to the J... However sure it feels totally different when driving

My tuning box has just arrived today
i have chosen the bluespark pro boost box, that claims an increase to 201 BHP and 431 Nm on my insignia 2.0 cdti 160 ecoflex
i will try all the different settings over the next few weeks as i have just fitted it today
so i will test it out on the way to work tonight and then play with the settings after that.

Used once in my Alfa 156, massive improvement.
Sold with the car, unfortunately or luckily.. now I'm driving slower.

i will be looking for a balance of MPG vrs power so starting on the lower settings then moving them up till i find the best setting.

Told you all this was going to be a busy week for me haha
next up flyeye the third boot brake light on the insignia
as it was looking to red against the black color of the car after wrapping the boot strip
i am nearly all done now till the summer as i need to get saving again lol
