Oil Level
#1
When reading the oil level my dipstick has two plain segments sandwiched between two hatched segments.

Where is the ideal level. Should the top hatched segment be covered with oil or should the oil stop at the division between the plain segment and the top hatched segment?

Normally there's 1 hatched segment. reading anywhere inside the hatched part is fine. If car isn't in great condition and is losing oil you would top it off at the high end of the hatched part.
