I have a power fold mirror from 5 door Astra J fitted to my GTC and although it functions fine it doesn't fit very well! I was wondering can I get a standard non power fold mirror and use the internals of my current mirror to convert it to power fold!? Sounds complicated, I'm guessing not???

I think you can't because the motor is integrated with the pillar, that is shorter than the 5 door and it's painted gloss black, unlike the 5 door

The motor is moulded into the mirror so would need to butcher it.
These are the part numbers for the mirrors / switch for the GTC.
