front windscreen

Hi anyone else on here have trouble with the front screen freezing on the inside, also after i have defrosted it and left it i e to go to work when i return i have puddles of water on dash running down over glovebox area my vauxhall dealers says that is normal never had a wet dash in any other car ive owned. i have no water anywere getting in ive checked all the usual places, doors boot etc etc. also doesnt happen all the time.

I would check for water in the car common places is the passenger footwell and the boot.

Also check the doors don't have water them in then (if there are rubber bungs in bottom of doors remove them).

That's a common Vauxhall answer because to me they just don't want to find the issue, which could a bad seal etc.

Depending on what model year you have there was also an issue with the passenger side wiper which would allow water into the passenger footwell. also a weak seam weld in the rear.

here what you saying about vauxhall, they had it for a week and said no issues at all , yet when i send them photos of the dash they say thats normal, ive checked doors and boot, all good will look at wiper area tomorrow, problems is doesn't happen all the time .

water on the dash is certainly not normal, however water on the inside of the windows is usually a sign of a water leak somewhere in the car, could be in the boot area ?

I would do a water test. If u have a hose leave it on a slow run on your windscreen for 5 - 10mins and then move onto the door edge and see if any water collects. If the inside of your windscreen froze it could be that the ice melted and caused water but again if your saying "puddles" it may not nlbe that as I would have thought it would of melted that much.

You may need to keep a journal. That notes the weather and what your seeing in regards to water, that will help u to figure out when it happens etc. Just keep it in your car

thanks for your help guys done a few checks but no further forward, cant see water getting in anywhere, will try upload some photos.

Do you have the windows open often, in my cars i try to have the windows open for the last part of the journey, and down a crack when de misting windscreen to allow the moisture out

I have a post on here about leaks somewhere and misting windows, I managed to cure mine it's brilliant now.
