Android head unit stuck
#1
I installed my v5754 recently and it's been working perfectly. However when I was driving along today with Google maps running and playing music from the microsd card (done that before many times without issues) when the unit froze. I pulled fuse 4 from the fuse box behind the glovebox to reset power to the head unit and now it's stuck on a recovery screen. None of the buttons move the selectio on screen so I can't choose either option. Help please![Image: a1521481013413086b31b9ee57ac5ce5.jpg]

Did you try to pull out the microsd card and reboot it again?
If you have access to one of the USB ports you could try and attach an USB keyboard to see if you can navigate the menu.

Tried all those things and nothing changes. I guess I'll just have to wait until Tuesday and contact Icebox to see what they reckon. Shame as I really liked the unit before this happened

Daft question time, but have you tried double tapping the screen on either of the two options highlighted blue?

At this stage nothing is a daft question lol. Tried it but can't get any response from the screen or any of the buttons. I'll call Icebox tomorrow and see what they reckon

Did you get hold of icebox and fixed your issue?
Would be nice to know how you fixed it.

They're going to swap the unit for a new one. I don't think they had any reply from the factory yet with a fix for it. As it's a pain to do all the wiring (as you know already) just swapping the dvd unit and the screen and leaving the wiring looms in place so it makes it easier when the new one gets here

New dvd player unit and screen arrived earlier and I already fitted it. Can't fault them on their customer service in how they dealt with it.
