LED’s for up level display
#1
Hi, could anyone give me a link for some PLCC-2 side view LED’s in bright white? I’m going to change them in my up level display and looking on eBay and can only see surface mounted ones unless I’m missing something
Thanks in advance

These are ones I use I just turn them on their side work 100% fine.

These are also the best White one's I have found for brightness.

Yeah that would be great if you don’t mind? I can send you some money through PayPal if that’s ok?

So I’ve found out I’m not very good at soldering I think my actual problem was de-soldering because taking the old LED’s out seemed to take some of the board with it probably because I’m a heavy handed welder!! Anyway after much messing around I’ve managed to get 3 out of 4 working. It’s ok just a bit dull where it says speed.

No it's not too bad, just waiting to see how it looks at night. I found the dismantling and re-assembly quite easy thanks to your how to Rusty, I just think my rev counter just wants tweaking slightly unless it's the camera angle!

Yeah it looks slightly off a little tip when you have it right plug in it & turn key to pos 2 it stops the needles bouncing when you clip it back it.

I’ve ordered some solder glue today for the 4th led that I couldn’t get working, but if that doesn’t work I’m going to wire it from one of the other LED’s.
When I fit it I’ll also make sure the needles go back on right,

I’m thinking about changing the led on the door lock/ unlock switch so the unlock is green, is there a how to on here for it?

I've now found the thread for changing the LED on the unlock button, seems simple enough Smile
