HID - Xenon Lights
#1
Greetings everyone,

I recently (3 days ago) changed over to HID - Xenon.
I had no errors for a day or so. After a day I get warnings about my lights all the time but the lights do work. I run a system diagnostics check but no error comes up.

Any ideas?

Hi, when putting your car through it's mot I would revert back to halogen as the mot is clamping down on hid kits again after May here's a copy of the new draft on it.[Image: 1ec88a6c149b47ae125af3f423a00b37.jpg]

Is there any OEM HID kit?

No it needs to be headlights designed for hid/xenon and that would be the afl headlights but there is a bit of work involved and I don't think GM support this retrofit now, you would need headlights with projector lenses designed for xenon bulbs for starters as halogen housings just scatter the beam, Rusty should be able to clarify on the afl situation.

Yes AFL is no longer supported by GM.
Although I am planing on testing a work around at some point.
