Hi
i want to upgrade m Navi900 unit to some after market unit, i want to keep it as stock as possible so steering wheel controls and centre buttons working and the climate controls on the screen. i've read that the wiring is different for navi900 modules.
I'm quite confident if i need to make changes to wiring ect but want to make sure its easy to revert back to stock.
thanks

Moving the pins around is very easy.
Steering wheel buttons will remain to function.
Control panel needs to be swapped for a CD400 one.
Armrest control functionality will be lost.
I am currently building a module that remedies the latter 2.

I don't think the armrest control is very different from the regular panel.
I got most of the signal codes from the CD400 panel now (the GMLAN ones).
Next will be getting the codes from the CD500/DVD800 panel (the LINbus ones).
The armrest controls will also be LINbus, so when I'm able to extract the DVD800 codes it'll be no problem to also get them from the armrest controlle.r
When done, I'll just connect the DVD800 panel and armrest directly to my gateway which will then translate the LINbus inputs to equivalent GMLAN outputs.
