Astra j vxr front seat

Hi newbie on here so b nice to me
I have a 2013 vxr and the the passenger seat folding hinge has just snapped on me so can't get into the back
I have bought a replacement hinge and have taken out all of the plastic bits around the area but can't get any further
Do you have to remove the back of the seat and take off all the leather or can it be done from the small hole where the handle is located
Any help would be appreciated

When my passengers handle broke the mechanism inside snapped and to get to it you've got to strip the seat back down. This is a known design fault and should be fixed under warranty.
You can still get in the back by using the tilt and slide handles you use for seat adjustment

Do you have to take the seat out and take the back off or can you just do it in the small space that's there
It's in at Vauxhall for MOT next week and pretty sure it will fail on this fault

???? Ringing Vauxhall to see how much it will cost for them to do it if to much will give it a shot in the week
