Sorry for our lack of support over the last year but MYBB is back and so are we.
Let's get the forum buzzing again... (March 25, 2022)x
Hey all. New member and new Astra owner here.
Picked up my 2.0 CDTI Elite yesterday and love it!! After my last car died I did a lot of research trying to decide what to replace it with and this forum helped me a lot, so far very happy with my decision!!
Appreciate all the help and advice the members of this forum give, already looking at some upgrades etc for the new car so no doubt will be picking some brains very soon!

Hey guys, I am a new user of a used Astra 1.7 CDTI 2011 and I've been told by some people around that this car is very sensitive to fuel quality.
Now the problem is that in my country fuel quality is the worst, there's absolutely no assurance of the quality no matter where you try to get the fuel around here, and chances are that the kind of diesel we have is just slightly better than the one your country uses only for agricultural vehicles.
Is there anything I can do to make it less of a problem? Except for going to buy oil in Italy or somewhere else, do you have any suggestions? Maybe there's some kind of liquid I can use to clean it up or I don't know, I'm an absolute about car mechanics.
Thanks
So some may know from my progress thread I'm trying to find a way to get android auto on the Navi950 (or any Navi unit fitted to the Astra-J).
The more I dig into it the more I'm liking the idea of build a total carputer (as they call it).
I have no experience with raspberry PI, I have no knowledge of coding.
Power the module would need a 12v to 5v stepper easy to source online.
If I was to keep the navi a video interface box would be needed & the raspberry PI 3.
If I wanted to build a complete carputer I need the power, and FM/DAB module, an amplifier (baring in mind I have infinity sound system), a touch screen. Doing some digging I found a company that make a carberry this works on the canbus and it seems its fully supportive for the J. https://www.carberry.it/en/p/374/Carberry/
@umognog maybe a thread your interested in & maybe have some input.

Morning all,
New to the owners club, but not new to Vauxhall. I’ve owned my 2011 Meriva for 18 months been getting a little bored with it recently and looking at other cars (Astra, Mokka, Insignia) but not seen anything that grabs me enough to want to trade in the Meriva.... (did see other Meriva‘s with heated seats and steering wheel that would be nice in winter, maybe there’s a retrofit guide on here somewhere).
I‘ve been looking at upgrading my stereo (CD-400) to something a bit more modern, would like to try and keep it factory looking, and would like Bluetooth, DAB etc. I have been looking through the internet for options and that is how I found VxON. I have looked at aftermarket stereos but not quite sure if I like a single DIN, although I did see a picture of someone who’d fitted a Pioneer double DIN touchscreen in a Meriva.
