Hey guys,

Picked up my latest vauxhall this afternoon, its an astra tourer 1.6 cdti (110) but it sadly never made it home.

About 10 miles into the drive, it shuddered on acceleration and went into ( what is assume ) limp home mode with the engine caption lit.

I managed to get it back to the dealer who will now investigate the issue. The engine light remained after a full restart.

Any ideas what this could be?



I have a courtesy car for the time being however i would like to go back to them knowing about the possibilities in case they try and fob me off with a short term fix.

Hi guys
We just picked up my daughters GTC Limited Edition 1.6 Turbo, in black, with leather and sat nav.
The previous owner or the dealer hasn't deleted the 5 phones registered to the 650 Nav unit, and no matter what I do I can't delete them, not even a factory reset deletes them.
If I try to delete one at a time, it gives the option to delete but the screen just looks as though its working but won't delete.
Any ideas please.

I need your help... The engine of my car Opel Astra 1.7 CDTI 110CH is KO. I must change it. The engine code of this last is A17DTC, but I do not find any engine used or new on the web with this code. But I found many A17DTE engine new or used.

My question is, do you know if this engine will be compatible with my car ?

hi just to say hello to everyone my daughter has a vauxhall astra exclusiv 1.4 2011

and I am always getting spammed with doing stuff on it however some of the newer stuff on cars i am not familiar with (electronic handbrake) so hopefully get some useful know hows on here and if I come across anything myself I will pass on

Can you please help. Just had the below message come up on the dash "Service Vehicle Charging System", along with the battery light.

Anyone know what this could be? Usually means alternator or fan belt, fan belt is good and intact.

Any ideas please.

Hey all names Chris and from northampton looking at moving from my corsa to a astra 2.0 diesel gtc :  so i thought i would join here

Recently on two occasions after I have driven the car for a while,  stopped and then re start the cooling fan has come on for a few seconds.

Could this be related to the thermostat wiring harness issue they had?

It is a 1.6 Petrol Auto

P0171 error code stem to leen.
Is this a common fault?
