I have a cd400 unit in my car and the radio reception is very poor. is this a common problem? i also think the sound quality of the radio / speakers is not great at lower volumes but seems better when turned up (sounds flat / muffled). is there an easy / factory upgrade option available?

Just had the timing belt changed and was advised the water pump was not needed due to it not being driven by the timing belt,  it is driven by the aux belt.

Is this correct?

Is there some kind of mod or upgrage to the mist washer jets on the astra j. The mist / standard ones dont seem that great and half of it goes over the car. I have adjusted many times but never seem to get it just right for driving or when at a stand still. There must be a better jet to buy or upgrade to?

How do i remove these without snapping something!!?? Going crazy here!

hi, my alternator needs changing,

can anyone tell me how long it takes and what level of skill is required,

ive got a quote from a local garage for £250 to change for labour.

would people agree with this? ive changed alternators myself on imprezas etc however there doesnt seem to be much room for working on a zafira gsi.

Going to start servicing my car tomorrow and checked the maximum weight capacity on the axle stands which is 2 tonne. Are these safe to use on an astra j 5 door?

I have an Astra J fitted with a cd400 head unit. There is an Aux button on the console, probably fitted as standard, is there an Aux socket at thexrear of the head unit? I was wondering if anyvof you know, save me pulling the unit out for nowt!
