Just thought I'd pop in and say hi since I've just purchased a 2012 Astra gtc 1.4 turbo (120).

I have a few questions about the car if anyone can help me. Firstly, what is the difference between the 120bhp and the 140bhp 1.4 turbo? Obviously 20bhp, but is that just down to the map or are there also physical differences?

Can anyone tell me what sort of power these engines are capable of and what sort of power can the clutch, gearbox etc take before running into problems?

Is there anything in particular that I should keep an eye on in my specific car, problems etc?

I will be reading through the forum for more info but any basic knowledge and know how from more experienced owners would be appreciated.

Have 2014 Astra SRi fitted with non-DAB CD400 radio. Am getting split second breaks in transmission when using the BBC channels (no problems on local radio settings). Use mostly Radio 1, 2 and 4. Dealership suggest it is to do with transmitters. Based in Buckinghamshire, but also occurs out of area. Any suggestions welcomed that might remedy this.

Hi my daughter has a astra j 1.6 auto and a light has come on its one with a spanner pic and under neath it it says service esp ,as i dont have a booklet , what does this mean.

I have a 2012 Vauxhall Astra MK VI (J) 2.0 CDTI SRI which i bought over a year ago and after owning it 3 months the High pressure diesel pump leaked and had to be replaced which i was fortunate with as it was under warranty. Fast forward to now, i have the car in for a service and it is now leaking AGAIN which i will have to pay out of my own pocket this time.

and it does look good as 24 months warranty is promising. What i'm looking is a part number for the High pressure fuel pump that is in my car or a good website where i can search chasis number to find out what i need. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I'm driving 2011 Astra j with bi-xenon lights and auto control of the lights. Sometimes even in bright sunny day the lights still remains on and the HUD display stays in night mode. Have found that most of the J's have this issue and didnt bother so much. But lately the things became stranger. The HUD display switches to day mode but the lights remain on. Can this be a faulty sensor? Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hello, I would like to know if the headlight of Astra J 5 door 2010 is the same of 2013 model?
because, i have an Astra 2010 and i bought headlights  of 2013 model...
