Nice. Were the springs difficult to fit?
Did those rims you have on come in black from the factory? Have a set of black 17" wheels as summer wheels that came with the car when I bought it.
Nah pretty easy if you have the right tools
nah I painted the wheels myself

Here she is!! The Eibachs feel so much better than the Sri springs!

Looks really good on the lowering springs, not stupidly low
Liking the look of that mate
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
That was straight after we finished putting them on, they're still settling but yeah that's how I wanted them to be
makes me want to change wheel colour asap lol.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like them...but other than aesthetics and maybe comfort if you're coming from SRI springs...is there any benefit to them?
I can't really comment as they're still settling but the drive home was so much nicer! It feels a lot more stuck to the road! And the handling has been improved massively!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fair doos! So yeah handling would be a biggy...you'll have to let us know how you get on
I sure will mate, out and about tomorrow so will update!!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My door pins also came today while I was out and they're great! So much better than the standard black ones! Plus at £3 odd I can't complain.

The car feels great, feels much more glued to the road too! Well impressed with them! I've not had any rubbing or scratching and no bother over speed bumps as of yet and I've went over a canny few!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Finally some sunlight so me and
@Jonathaneuk washed our cars at mine! Safe to say I am over the moon with how the car is looking atm.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Looks great ! A lot better now it's been lowered !
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
awesome, blooming awesome
Wash your car on the street!? Here you are doomed to 1000 years in slavery jail for doing that. No joke.
Did you do a wheel adjustment after spring change? Is it needed?
Whaa 1000 years slavery for washing car?? Madness!!
What do you mean by wheel adjustment? I retightened the nuts after about 100 miles just to make sure none were or came loose.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
i always wash my car in the street, a guy once told me off for snow foaming lol
Yes, day water/ rain water is not normally cleaned, maybe infiltrated or collected in a pond if nessecary. Only grey and blackwater is treated properly.
Wheel alignment is the correct term I think. =) I dont really know about the Astra but I know other cars which front tyres worn out quick on inside after lowering.
Nah lowering it 40MM is fine
they don't need adjusting
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nah like Jonny says they don't need adjusting. I'll keep an eye for any extra wear on inside though, thanks for that.
Wow
@hejhopp123 that's crazy, where do you live??
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
no one ever says anything, don't think I've ever seen anyone else wash there cars to be honest haha

Not a lot happening recently, but finally got round to ordering a dash cam, this is the one I've went for after a few people giving it good reviews. It also comes with a rear view camera too.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/141745389867
I've also ordered a dual USB socket that I'm going to fit into the glovebox and a 3m male to female USB cable so can have the dash cam constantly plugged in. Will update when I get around to fitting then all.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've just ordered a new cam too. Camera number 3 [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY][FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Number 3...
why happened to number 1 and number 2 ??
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ah very nice that looks good! This will be my first dash cam so looking forward to getting it!
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got good reviews as well so hopefully it's as good as it says.
How are you wiring yours in?
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Piggyback fuse to fuse box behind glovebox, dual USB socket in glovebox and the cable up a pillar to dash cam. You?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Same as me then mate. I put some picks on Sheppys how to regarding the a pillar post... It's a bit of a strange one.
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
Yeah apparently it just pulls off
scares me haha, do you need to take neg off battery?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hahaha yeah it does pull off enough to get the wires down there but it's scary! And a pain to stuff the wires out the way so they don't obstruct the air bag curtain!
Sent from my Vodafone Smart ultra 6 using Tapatalk
Doesn't the fuse box provide a constant live therefor stopping the camera from shutting off automatically
I'm not sure yanno...it must cut off after a while when the car does its systems power downs after 10 mins or whatever
(19:th-Mar-2016, 13:20:11)Tonto Wrote: [ -> ]Yeah apparently it just pulls off scares me haha, do you need to take neg off battery?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I got mine off completely but you have to squeeze the metal prong as it's almost like locking prong. It's doable though.
As for the power, it turns off when you open the drivers door after taking the key out. From then on the camera is running on its battery. I've set mine to turn off after 20mins anyway.
Sent from my LG G4 using Tapatalk
So finally got around to fitting the dash camera, very pleased with it, I also got a dual usb socket which I've put in the glovebox so I can still use the 12v socket to charge phone etc. I have the dual usb on a piggyback fuse into the fusebox behind the glovebox which does actually provide constant power and does not shut off after a certain time. I ran a 3m (should have ordered 2m lol) male to female usb cable from glovebox, up A pillar and across headliner to centre and down to dash cam so it's all nicely tucked away.
For the rear cam i ran it through the right hand side rubber boots from boot down to roof liner and along the drivers side to the dash cam. All in all very easy to do and well worth it, im very happy
Still playing and figuring out the features on the dash cam
I'm a little irritated by the wires but at least they aren't in the way when driving
