Turbo to non turbo
In the quest for added power to my 1.4sri non turbo, rather than going down the route of induction kits, remaps and the like could I simply retrofit a turbo from a 1.4T? Instant 140bhp or am I way off?

From Seat to Vauxhall
Hi all, from Kilmarnock, Scotland. Had my 1.6 GTC around a month now. Love it, standard just now but hopefully start a few mods soon.

Cannot for the life of me figure out how to add a picture. Reduced the file size but keeps saying it's too large.

Major service now struggles to start
Hi guys, vx did a major service yesterday. Started the car and it struggled to fire up eventually it did. I put it down to maybe fuel needing purging or something like that.
Switch it off it starts fine.
Left the car for an hour and same thing took about 5 seconds to start.
Now I do still have the problem with glow plugs (don't know how much it will cost, anyone any ideas?) but it still started perfectly fine.
Anyone got any ideas what I can look for? I have a plan with warranty direct so wonder

Good bye to the forum
Hi chaps,

I'm just popping in to say goodbye to the forum as I'm defecting to buy a new Nissan Qashqai (collect her Weds 10th Aug) and trading my Astra J in. Sad to leave Vauxhall but had them for over 20 years and now its time for a change. Certain things left a bad taste in my mouth with regards to the VX dealership and as the top spec Qashqai is quite a motor (others will disagree without a doubt) then I've been tempted. Easy decision to tell you the truth for me personally.
Anyway, want

CD400 to SatNav Unit
Hello All, this has probably been posted a hundred times before. But, I have the cd400 factory fitted, just wondering what's the best SatNav unit to buy? Heard some of the cheap ones are very unreliable, maps not up to scratch, Bluetooth streaming is a bit dodgy. So just wanted to know who has done the change and what unit you got? Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers.

Looking to buy an Astra-J, after some genuine owner advice.
Hi folks,

I currently own a Vauxhall Insignia and a Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTI Elite 150 which the wife drives. Im pretty active on Vectra and Insignia forums.

Anyway, Im starting to look into changing the Vectra we have, which is the 1.9 CDTI Elite 150 (2008 variant). She had an Astra-H prior to this and we upgraded to this about 2.5 years ago as we needed a bigger boot for my sons buggy, but he is out of that so we are looking to downgrade again to a smaller boot.
