Footwell full of water
A couple of weeks ago I noticed some water in my boot. Through removing all the carpets, seats and linings over the last couple of weeks, to find where the leak was coming from and to dry all the foam etc out (whilst also going insane), I have narrowed the leak to coming in behind the grey foam underneath the dashboard. I have had the glove box off and the pollen filter out, and checked the scuttle drains under the wipers which were clear but can not find where exactly the water is coming from.

Numbers of key you can have
Hi.
I own a Astra J GTC 2.0CDTi 165 Sport Eco.
I have 3 keys for my new car. But the dealerships tells me that only 2 of them will be recognized by the immobilizer as it can only hold 2 keys..
I think that sounds odd that it is not possible to hold 3 or 4 keys..
As I remember the Vectra C could hold 4 keys..

I had a problem with my front p-sensors, they would not turn on. The dealership have fixed it, but now my cruise control dosen´t work.
I can turn it on (white light) but not engage

Help diagnosing loss of power
Hi. I have a 62 plate 2.0CDTI Elite manual gear box. Its all fully standard except the DriveAudio headunit.

On Tuesday I went to Manchester and back (170 mile round trip) no problem. On Wednesday I went up Bradford way, again about 170 miles odd (I don't do these types of runs every week mind).

Well on the way up Bradford, no problems. But after work I get in the car and shortly later I get a 'Service Vehicle Soon' message. I just clear it thinking its reminder to service as the car seems

CK better than the rest of the market
So, the AA released a report last month showing how much car insurance premiums have risen over the last 12 months. Apparently, premiums have gone up by 16.3% - an average of £82 per policy (£18 of which is due to the 2 IPT (tax) increases). The current average car insurance premium is now just pence below £586.

Well, maybe they don't know about this special car club/forum scheme. Bucking the trend, I see that our quotes have only risen 3% (£13) on average o

2.0cdti ECU update for DPF causing poor fuel & loss of performace
So when my car had Turbo issue's the dealership did a software update to the ECU.

This update is related to the DPF
Quote:It adjusts the parameters for the dpf temperature sensors to improve dpf performance and avoid overloading dpf, eml lights and in worst cases engine stalling.

it's a software weakness that only effects astra j, cascada and zafira tourers up to model year MY13.5. The update will just adjust the software weakness that is present.

At first I didn't notice

More tales of disappointment with the J
So been a way for a while ....too busy at work and spending far too much time re-powering my Kia Sportage - shes a wee beastie now ;-).

Got hold of some front foglight's , the correct switch , all the connectors were in place , plugged everything in and Woo hoo - absolutely nothing, all other lights work just not the front fogs.

Tentative call to my local Vauxhall stealer only to be told it couldn't be done , needs activating in software !! - WTF, another call to an independent dealer and
