Remap DPF removal
I've had a few issues with dpf getting blocked and had a couple of forced regens done to clear. I booked in a place to get remapped and dpf delete done but when they came to do it my car wasn't on the system apparently the 2010 2.0 cdti can be done but mine is the 2011 and apparently it has a different ECU it has a Denso. It is alientech equipment that they use at the garage. I desparately want this dpf out so I don't have anymore problems. I've scoured the internet to try and find out if anyone

DPF REGEN LIGHT
This write up has been taken from an insignia owners group does anyone know if there is a way to do something similar with the Astra, mine is an early j and as far as I'm aware it doesn't have anyway to tell you that a regen is taking place? HOW-TO DPF WARNING LED
[align=center]How-to DPF warning LED.

You must understand that the way this works means that if you turn on your rear demist the LED will turn on also and that you would have to turn it off to see if a DPF regen is taking place.

Ok the first thing you need to do is get a 12v LED like below.

2.0cdti ECU update for DPF causing poor fuel & loss of performace
So when my car had Turbo issue's the dealership did a software update to the ECU.

This update is related to the DPF
Quote:It adjusts the parameters for the dpf temperature sensors to improve dpf performance and avoid overloading dpf, eml lights and in worst cases engine stalling.

it's a software weakness that only effects astra j, cascada and zafira tourers up to model year MY13.5. The update will just adjust the software weakness that is present.

At first I didn't notice

Astra 2.0cdti dpf regen info?
Hello all,
I've owned my 64 plate 2.0cdti elite auto for around a year now. So I'm getting quite used to the dpf regeneration function.
My driving style usually consists of longer journeys around 60% of the time. Although the other time is spent driving around town. Never usually do less than a 7 mile journey, even around town. My dpf seems to regenerate around every 1-2 weeks. Although It's not done on an intelligent basis. I.e I have been on a long journey. Stopped the car for half an hour.
