Hi all, I bought an Astra 2.0 CDTI recently and they fitted a new cambelt and waterpump as part of the sale. Just 2 weeks after getting the car the auxiliary belt shredded and snapped on the M11 and subsequently the brakes, power steering and just about every other light came on on the dash before the battery lost charge and it died. Just a quick note to say that last week I had my auto transmission oil changed on my 2.0 CDTi Astra at 90,000 miles. I've had the car 5 years.
Although the car was driving ok with no real problems I had wondered if a transmission oil change would improve it.
Got the transmission oil changed at the local Vauxhall dealers, cost me just over £80.
Noticed an immediate improvement in the way the car drives. It changes up quicker, holds onto a higher gear for longer before changing down. Feels like
