1.6 CDTI engine problems ?
Hi, another newbie to the forum!! I have a Astra J 1.6 CDTI Sports Tourer 2014 bought second hand with 28K on clock. Now had it for several months and am very pleased with it. It is the first diesel engined car I've had (but about the 6th Astra).
Has anyone had problems with this engine? I understand it has been continued in the K so I assume its not too bad!!
Cheers
Astra J Estate 2014 EcoFlex 1.7 CDTI
Hi Guys,
Since I need to get an automatic (foot injury that left me with a long term health issue) I am selling my Grey Astra, it's an 2014 (63 reg) 1.7 Cdti engine (110bbhp) 52000miles had quite a interesting past, due to an interesting electrical fault it had the following replaced:
- the ECM with the wiring harnesses
- the whole fuel filter assembly (with the sensor) and it's harness
- high pressure rail (with the hi pressure sensor)
- DPF regens 2x
- DPF sensors (both of them

Fuel consumption - 1.3 CDTI
I've got a 1.3 CDTI and the fuel consumption seems really quite bad to me? The car is completely standard atm, yet out of half a tank I'm only getting 150-160 miles? I haven't filled it up yet, and I don't really do it unless I need to, but I can't see why it's so bad. The car has FSH and was serviced 11 months ago. Any ideas?

2.0 CDTI Elite 2014 plate newbie says Hello
Just purchased today. Had to laugh the Salesman who i purchased from said the Astra doesnt have service booklets. Just said okay.
Why do they feel the need to lie?
Anyways, i know where it was serviced etc.... going to ring the dealers up and ask if they will give me a new book stamped up. Will have to pay but worth it.
Astra J 2.0 cdti noise on cold start up
Hi Guys if anyone has a noise on cold start up that's sounds similar to a failing water pump but disappears after 10 seconds it could be the auxilary belt tensioner as I just replaced my belt and tensioner yesterday and what a difference. £70 fix so not too expensive just thought I would give everyone a wee heads up and the best way to confirm this is remove the auxilary belt and do a cold start and see if the noise has disappeared as well as feel for play in the pulleys as well.

Astra J GTC 2.0 CDTi suspension
Hello guys,
I am planning to buy Opel Astra J GTC 2.0 CDTi 165 hp. I have one nice offer on car from year 2012 with just 52 000 km on dash. I really like the car but I am little bit worried about suspension system FlexRide. (previously I had Subaru with electrically adaptive shock absorbers and after 100 000 km I had to change them - it was unreliable expensive change). My question is how qualitatively good are these shock absorbers in Astra GTC (how much mileage they are able to make) and a
Cambelt - 2.0 CDTI, 2011
Hey folks,
Been looking into this for a while and some conflicting information from Vauxhall Garages.
Was always under the impression from the garages information that:
- Astra 2.0 CDTI was 60k or 6 years
- Insignia 2.0 CDTI was 100k or 10 years
(whichever comes first).
Anyway, now im at stage where im defiantly looking to get it done, and Vauxhall have apparently revised it for both engines to 100k or 6 years, whichever comes first. I rang up HQ to check and this is what they advise
2.0 CDTI GTC rear springs
Hi,
I have a 2.0 CDTI SRI GTC and today noticed one of my rear springs has broken, so it's time to replace them both. Does anyone know the part number for the rear springs on the GTC, and if they are the same as the 5 doors? I am right in thinking that the SRI springs are shorter than the standard ones, aren't I?
Links to buy the springs would be even better! Just after GM or OEM spec springs, nothing that would lower the car.
Thanks!
