I don't remember seeing it on wheeler dealers mate, mind you I notice the run a new series and cut it off after a couple of shows.

i had some dipped interior trim bits on the mark 5 and they do look very good
you can actually buy the bits to do this your self but you are best to clear coat when done
i would love a few bits done on the j i may look into this for the alloys :cool

here is how to do it

but you really only need the film and the activator as long as the part is clean before you dip you can use primer for a better result
and clear coat after is a must for protection and new water must be used for each part you dip

Yeh I've seen it done in carbon black before, wonder how long it would last in the elements

you have to use clear coat lacquer over it and it will last
but very hard to fix if you curb the alloys.
interior parts last very well
