GM LED Tail lights
#1
So I purchased myself a set of GM LED tail lights on ebay, fitted them and they throw up "check brake light".

I could just live with it but wanted to see if I had any options.
I have seen something called HappyBlue OBD, which according to the notes allows for "Checkcontrol to Overwrite Failure / LED Expansion" has anyone ever used it?

Cheers
Niall

Unfortunately this is just for having fun with your car's lights.
Using resistors is the only choice

@sheppy1 has happy blue and he said it cancels the error messages from using LED's.

But I'm sure @cornishtaz fitted LED lights to his GTC without errors

So happyblue has to be on the obd port all the time? What about battery consumption?

you may be best to add load resistors to the looms that should cancel the errors
but you will need a pinout for the plug

lol no don't do Facebook... its ok, I may have reversed into a post which may have resulted in smashing the lens of one rear light BUT they could still possibly work (just looks stupid).

Yes, you can search for dna taillights, they are not for uk roads though so you would need to remove them for an MOT as the reverse and fog lights are on the wrong side.

guys, I've just ordered these led rears for mine, Any idea of the pin out for the load resistors or another way of canceling the error?

Some GTCs & all VXRs must have the error disabled permanently for the rear lights as they came from thhe factory fit.

I'm wondering if theres some sps option in the bcm...possibly???
