(This post was last modified: 21:st-Feb-2016, 16:31:52 by PBHorne.)
So I've had my car nearly 1month.
so far apart from wind deflectors, private plate changed over and plate surrounds... I've kept my mods to the interior so far.
That'll change when the weather does car needs a good detail. The calipers and hubs desperately need doing red and silver respectably. Also wondering if the Vxr splitter might fit.
So first is always my cars name tag (Clara) keeping with my doctor who assistants names.
Then the usual LED interior lighting red and white.
Like to keep it matching the dash.
Kitted up with dashcam and tomtom satnav dock. Bought nice long cables all tucked and hidden away.
Found this neat little key ignition ring too...
Belkin 12v power adapter with 4usbs keeping all my devices going on them long roadtrips.
Bluetooth to Aux so I can seamlessly play my phones music as the car Bluetooth can't handle it.
Lastly second set of mats as the first lot didn't cut it also Vxr pedal set.
Despite being a 1.4t heavy Astra... The trip computer reads as good as my corsa 1.4t did
So yeah that's as far as I've got.

It's a nice little simple touch but looks just as good in person too.
Just keeping in light and subtle at the moment, we'll see how long that lasts though.

Yeah door. Unlock and open. Looks good from the outside looking in.
Then all others boot, mirrors and glove box are white. the red is rubbish for being able to see.

Thinking of plastic dipping some stuff maybe some styling tape too... Inspiration from my last 2/3 cars grill and surrounding areas maybe rims. Also found some front splitter possibilities.
Always loved colour coded grills.
Last one grill and styling tape
Alloys I once did
Possible splitter... Don't know if it will fit since I have the styling pack though.

Never really thought to get decals.
They get dirty pretty quick though and with Etech paint the dust just wipes off.

Summer's coming so I thought ideal time to invest in a roofrack for Clara.
Genuine Vauxhall one at a better price than Vauxhall can muster up though.
And for the bike Thurle freeride.

I found them as a set for £90 on eBay delivered too... After reading reviews on I couldn't say no at that price.

Cracking price!
The ones I got were £24 delivered for the set Haha.... Very different!
My bike doesn't have a tubular frame, more like a squarish one... Would the thule handle that type? Mine does, but only just. It makes me nervous!!

Bought Thule roof rack too... Didnt choose the streamline bars, went for square ones, but it is the kit that is expensive. 2000 sek total.
Afterwards I see Opel original rack didnt cost too much more.
Gonna buy cycle rack for the MTBs.. racks is the kind of stuffs people buy and never use so I buy used ones, only diffrent is dust come with the price.
Do you secure the bike more or do you trust the rack?

I trust the rack, however I still fear it failing to be honest.
I have spare bungee cords that I may use just to give me piece of mind.

First service today... Always a bit apprehensive as they scuffed and chipped the paint on my last car.
Anyways everything is fine and since had time to do a few things.
First
Fitted front and rear dash cam
Then I thought I'd have a play and vinyl tape the front grill.
Think I'm going to Plastidip or find a biturbo/limited edition grill though.

After keeping my Astra for the longest time I've ever owned any car for 1 year 10 months she's now sold.
Have few bits and bobs going up for sale genuine roof racks, tinted side repeaters etc...
I've moved onto the darkside aka Ford after getting a deal that I couldn't resist on a Focus ST Line X
I'll still be on here keeping an eye out for one of my old J's popping up under new ownership.
