So my 1.7 CDTI 125 is idling funny & I'm wondering if the EGR is playing up. Has anyone blanked it on this engine? I'm not fussed about having the EML on but wondered if it's as easy as it looks? (To me, EGR looks to be to the right of the engine cover right on top of the inlet?
Cheers

I think someone the Facebook page has done it mate. If you have an EML on tho it's an instant MOT fail.

So last night the EGR got stuck & the car wouldn't drive.. This was rush hour in Norwich with the Mrs driving lol. RAC hit the EGR with a hammer and it freed itself luckily but I now need to sort it.
I can't find a blank to fit my engine bar one on eBay from Poland, apparently it's a different blank to that used on the z17DT* engines so I can't find one.
I don't have Facebook so I can't find the person Rusty has mentioned, anyone else know if it's been done?

Yeahh I made a plate to go in the egr with I think a 8mm hole so it didn't make no difference to the egr but still spooled the turbo up quicker
