just got a new spare key made as my other flip key was broke
i went for the none flip key as the other flip key i have rattles in the ignition and i know this one wont do that the cars goes into the dealer on Friday for key programming but still not very cheap to replace the key £70 for the key and £48 for programming the car has also just been in for an oil and filter change and a service stamp and the dealers are doing a recall on the fan and giving the car a health check but tyres discs brakes etc are all new so i dont expect anything wrong at all next job on the list is to get this heated seat problem fixed once and for all

Had i a look at my K@N filter last week and Discovered it was Dirty and Due a Clean
As i have run out of the Filter Cleaner and oil and having had this in for 3 Years now I thought it was time for a Change so i ordered a Piper Cross air Filter I have never Tried this Brand so i will give it a go and see how it Compares. The Filter out the Box looks well made and Uses Foam and oil to catch the dirt. And here is the old K@N it is really Dirty Considering i only Cleaned and oiled it last Year. The Metal Threads on the K@N have always Bugged me as they do start to Fray over Time and that is a not the best Thing to Happen as you dont want Metal Fibers going in the Engine The Piper Cross uses Foam and Plastic Mesh so no Problem there. The K@N has captured dirt very well but it is a bit blocked by the looks of it now here they are side by side you can how dirty the K@N has got. The Piper Cross is thinner than the K@N Time will tell how well it Compares and Lasts. It is in the Car now i will Update at a Later Date.
29:th-May-2015, 14:04:48
Very nice mate, yeah when j got my k&n filter they tried to sell me a piper cross one, does it sound any different when driving? Looks very nice anyway!
The Piper cross Sounds much Better than the K@N did it has more of a Rasp
It is nice and Quite on Tick over but it Sounds much Better when you Pull off I am very Happy with it and no Problems at all and i much prefer it at the moment.

Front alloy Damage needs new Paint, and the Front wing needs Replacing as it is Dented to hell also front Door Dented to hell may also need a new one and the rear Door also needs Paint as it has a few scratches on that also I need to wait till the morning to see if anything else needs doing,,, GUTTED.... looks like the £350 excess on my insurance will have to be payed out to sort this mess out were the hell do i stand with the insurance i am fully comp anyone had this happen to them. i was just about to look for a new quote as it runs out at the end of the month looks like i will be stuck with Direct Line now while this gets sorted..
What a total f*****g a******e any CCTV in your road at all?
Not sure where you stand from the insurance point of view, only thing I would say is price it up getting the parts and doing it yourself before you even ring them as they class it as a claim even if you don't claim. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

not happy at all mate if the bloody car had an alarm i would have heard it as i was in the house at the time
but hay ho here is the damage.... front alloy...... front wing......... front door and wing...... scratch on rear door..... From what i can see alloy refurbish new front wing and wheel arch liner plus paint new door plus paint rear door also needs a scratch repainting also and plus labor costs. about £1000 to £1500 at a good ques to sort that out i will get a few quotes but i will go with my local man who does all my paint work as i trust him to do it correct but this will have to Waite till Friday as i am busy as hell in work.
6:th-Jun-2015, 07:59:38
Oh man sorry to see this, what an a******e to do that and leave! Real shame there's no cctv to catch them. Hope you get it sorted quickly and cheaply mate.

CHEERS but no CCTV anywhere in my road going to see if my paint man is work this morning
but he usually is racing rally cars at the weekend so i may be out off luck there,
6:th-Jun-2015, 08:41:42
Ouch!!!!! Your side skirt wing part will need a repaint too mate (in case you didn't notice).
Fingers crossed you get it sorted quickly and cheaply mate. Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

my mate has just quoted me £1,300
i have just seen the lad who lives over the road and his audi a4 has got a broken wing mirror and marks on the rear drivers side and a broken tail light and his front wing and front bumper passenger side has dents and silver paint all over it i have just confronted him and and he said it was his mum who is in bed with a hangover looks like she has hit me and then hit something else also classic drunk driver waiting for her insurance details when she wakes up
6:th-Jun-2015, 12:48:53
Well at least you've found the person, I'd of been going mad mate, bet they wouldn't of told you if you hadn't noticed their car tho.
I'd report her to the police for drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S

I'd have been stretched to keep my temper at bay mate, especially since she was drunk!! At least it will now hopefully get sorted out for you, cost free!!!

I wonder if he's just blaming it on his mum. Ha.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
she is a skank rat always drinking
i have said to tell her to just admit it and give me her details and i will not get the police involved she has a hour to sort this out as i ques she is hiding and trying to get the ale out her system if she was found to be over the limit it could void her insurance and will have a hell of a time claiming then and here is the damage on her car not as bad as mine that is for sure she had given me her details and admitted blame so time to get on the phone
6:th-Jun-2015, 13:42:14
Good stuff, glad you're getting it sorted mate!

getting a hire car i asked for a VXR they said no
i sad why it is still an Astra ha ha they are calming fully on her insurance and no fault for me and no loss of no clames and no excess payment for me also i suppose i have to look on the bright side as i did have a few chips on the wing and door and they will defiantly get sorted out now
6:th-Jun-2015, 14:08:18
Haha yes mate bright side of things! It's a pin in the arse and is personally be gutted too but at least it is all sorted and you have a courtesy car too! Plus bonus of the chips getting sorted free of charge haha

Glad you've sorted it. In relation to parts. Can you ask for original parts?
When some one hit my 206 they damaged the front bumper and the bit of plastic round the grill. They used aftermarket parts Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7:th-Jun-2015, 00:07:01
Glad it's sorted, hope all your mods are declared on your insurance though? Even if it's non fault you can still have a claim invalidated if the third party insurer notices the mods if they're not declared
8:th-Jun-2015, 10:28:41
Just seen this! Sorry to see the damage. I used to work in accident management until recently, and the amount of people who used to hit cars and then drive off is ridiculous! At least you're getting it sorted... F**king drink drivers

Direct line were going to push my insurance up by £300 after this making it £650 a year
Even thou they say it is no fault to me and no charges are taking from me at all told them i am not renewing with them this year as it is due the end of the month so i phone Chris knott and they wont insure me as the car is modified so watch out for that chaps on the good side Adrian flux gave a very good quote with all the mods declared so back down to £350 fully comp car has gone for repair today and picking up a hire car later on today so hopefully this will all be sorted out by next week and i will have the car back so odd not having it outside the house and i am in panic mode over how well they will fix it
12:th-Jun-2015, 12:07:52
Yeah I'd be the same mate but at least it's getting sorted. Insurance companies are a load of balls! Just there to rob you and try everything they can to not pay out. I'm at over 700 a year with Hastings... Think I am getting robbed haha

Strange about Chris Knott not insuring you I've been with thrm for close on 10yrs and the VXR is modded as were my previous cars
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
12:th-Jun-2015, 13:05:29
they said no chance they would insure it modified on the street blamed the post code
and that is odd as it is a real nice area i live in
12:th-Jun-2015, 13:53:54
I work for Flux, if you ever need any help just gimme a shout
cheers but all sorted now

12:th-Jun-2015, 16:19:00
