Not sure on your brembo question, but I thoroughly advocate ebc yellowstuff pads + an upgrade to your discs. I use them on my 2.0 sports tourer which can at times, be going 70 to 0 fully laden. I've never since fitting the yellowstuff pads & discs felt that the brakes were underwhelming. Quite the opposite, it is regularly below zero here and from cold they perform very well.
