Before I went shopping for the astra, I test drove the new civic 1.6 diesel. The ride was better than the previous generation but still pretty poor.

The 1.6 motor was OK but I didn't think there was enough power to keep me interested very long.

Other cars I were interested in was the focus 2.0 zetec S and the seat Leon FR 150. Both of them were fairly recent to market so prices were a bit more than I was willing to pay.

I saw a photo of the vx line on auto trader and knew I had to have one. Had a choice between a red and a white and ended up with the white one. My missus dislikes red cars.

I bought the car up in Belfast because there are no vauxhalls in Ireland, only Opels which tend to have small engines.
