Faulty back light

Hi folks

I've got a faulty back light on drivers side if I tap the lens it will come on but won't come on till I tap the lens any idea it's really bugging me I've tried taking the bulb out and putting it back in but still no joy

Try changing the bulb. The filament might have become detached, and tapping it temporarily reattaches it again.

Also, try cleaning the bulb contacts.

hi mate I had the same problem on a kia, I was forever changing bulbs,so what I did was to switch lights and ingnition off and with a small screwdriver scraped the contacts in the bulb holder, the pins may look good but give a try, plus a new bulb will help.
since then I had no problems.

I've just had the same problem on the passenger side!! Replaced the bulb, seems to be sorted!!
