How can you find out what Auto Box is fitted to your car?

Based on that information it is a 6T40 which I believe it also Has an external trans cooler fitted.

Can somebody please confirm?

I've been to have a look and the transmission pipes are connect as in the link, it seems that mine is the AF40 Gearbox.

there is only one gear box fitted to the 1.6 auto 6t40
what's the problem with it

Nothing is wrong, but I have been trying to find the external trans cooler that is illustrated in this diagram:

on the side of your gear box there will be or should be a sticker
this will give you an alpha code and part number have a look for that
that may help you out
or go to lookers and give them your reg number this will give them the info they need to identify it for you

is the trans cooler mounted on top of the radiator or to the side?

Well, I cant see nothing mounted on top, the is a plastic cover, not sure it might be behind that, can't be taking it apart tonight.

Found this sticker on the gearbox, any ideas what it refers to?

(will try and get a better picture)
