Astra J Paint Colour

Have two questions here if anyone is able to answers them:

1. Is the technical grey paint colour known by any other name? I know that VX just change the name of colours but they actually are the same paint colour.

2. What's the best way of removing scratches from the paint work? I have a few which don't feel deep and are white in colour...These the type that come out easy?

1st question can be answered looking up the paint code in the EPC.

2nd could try some t-cut or a DA machine but if you can feel a scratch with your finger nail it's too deep to buff out.

Cool! How do I access the EPC? And I think one or two are sort of on top of the paint, so just white marks but some may be a little deeper than that. I'll try to cut then, do you have to do the whole car if you use t cut or just the bit where the scratch is?
