if they did that i would tell them to fix it
or you will be contacting you insurance and theirs
as this is clearly there fault
did they just think this was ok
to give you the car back like that
that has made me real mad what a check

yeah, its crazy mate.
I would have never expected this from from to be honest, this is first time I have ever had an issue.
I am not happy at all is it worth contacting my insurance company then if they choose not to sort it Monday?

I most certainly wouldn't be phoning my insurance up.

the car was in the care of the dealer and they are therefor responsible for any damage caused they have insurance for that.

agreed there get back there Monday ask for the manager
show him the damage and tell them to get it fixed
also ask for the area manager head office if they dont give you the response you want
also make it know you are not happy with the way you have been treated

this has happened before and they did sort it out in the end

Just remember mate hold your ground a chancer would give up after a few goes a genuine person will keep pushing, before you go in do some background checking find out who the regional manger is and also find out who the MD is of head office.

make a metal notes of their names and office locations and drop them into the conversation, this will show you will not stop at the dealership manager level.

I had something similar with my rear bumper but they tried to repair it thinking I wouldn't notice.
Speak to manager and see what he says, when I asked for their insurance details to make a claim as was done on their property they soon replaced it.

That's shocking mate. Hopefully you can get it sorted. Just be firm with them. I had something similar when I was having some warranty work done. When I went to collect the car I had a look underneath and they had crushed the sill on one side from the lifts. Kicked off and they had it pulled out and resprayed.

The photos you have will be dated, tell them that and you want to claim on insurance. Also ask them what their complaints procedure is.
Reply
#42
push hard and threaten them with legal action

that is very poor and is more of a botch with a spray can
they didn't even put filler on the mesh
so were is the support
the brackets can not be fixed on this type of plastic
and it can not be plastic welded ether
they should have opened up the cracks and filled then and fiber glassed
and meshed and then filler on both sides
with that kind of repair the cracks will open back up in weeks
that is a complete joke
also if they are trying to pass the blame
they have already admitted they were at fault by attempting to fix it in the first place

contact them now and if the bumper will not be replaced
then tell them you will be picking the car up and going to your insurance
it is also against the law to not give them there insurance details
and it is time to contact there head office and raise the issue further
let them know that also

what dealer is it mate

if the cracks are still visible on the out side of the bumper
they will open back up very easily
no way they did that properly in that time

what is the out side of the bumper like mate

looks ok mate, I need to have a look at the other side

I have there email Smile vauxhall.customerassistance@vauxhall.co.uk

to be fair it is hard to fix broken brackets
they are best to be remade with fiberglass and filler
plastic bonding does not have much strength on its own
if it has just simply been blobbed on
and the other side has not been fixed.

if there is no visible cracks on the outside of the bumper
and the fog lamp is held in position
it will most likely be ok thou.

give it a good look over again tomorrow
and let me know what you find
