Opcom Fault Codes
#1
Hi everyone,

Just to give some background on why I decided to purchase an OpCom reader, I've been having the following issues on my J GTC 1.4:
  • Strange limp mode without warning lights/messages (accelerate to a certain RPM in a certain gear causes it to lose around 60% of power. It goes back to normal if I restart the car)
  • Cold start higher revs than normal - needle ticks past the 1k RPM range for a couple of minutes and then lowers to a normal rate
  • Starting the engine after a start/stop revs go up and down. The needle goes up and down for a few seconds - sometimes it almost feels like it's stalling
I've recently had it serviced which I thought may of had a positive effect but no joy.

I bought and had a play with OpCom last night. Some of the settings work but most end up "Initialising ECU" and spam my dash with all of the warnings.

When I go into Engine and choose any of the 1.4 options, nothing happens - I can't see to it to work. It just says "Initialising ECU" and does nothing.

Has anyone got it to work?

Thanks everyone.

When I bought my knock off one, the software was rubbish and didn't work. Someone on another forum gave me a copy of his which worked find. That was for my old Vectra-C though. It still works on my Astra-J, but when doing an auto search, it thinks it's a Vx220. Needless to say I have to input model and engine info manually.
