rusty do you know if the fogs are on the canbus
as they need to be removed if so i will put 50w load resistors on the wires to cancel errors
and fool it into thinking there are bulbs there.
Reply

They are on the BCM. On the light switch pin 1 (yellow (I think))sends a signal to the BCM to turn on/off front fogs

update the bumpers painted but i am leaving it there till friday to cure before i bring it home
and fit the new parts and get it on the car just so the paint has a bit more time to harden up
also ordered the top grill and bottom bumper trim today

so this should all be done and on the car by the end of the weekend
as long as vauxhall get the parts in time :cool

i have got nearly all the parts now apart from the bottom bumper trim that is coming from Germany
and won't turn up till Wednesday so a bit more of a Waite i am afraid but all should be done next weekend and on the car at last
i have to paint the the molding today it comes in primer from the factory so that will save a bit of work
decided on mat black i don't like the color coded option

so here are the part numbers etc

griffin badge GM 13264461
molding GM 13375838
grille GM 13339547
backing plate for badge GM 13294635

the last part is here at last

lower bumper panel part number 13337864

and i painted the moulding black and wrapped the base plate behind the griffin also

So the bumper will be on the car by the weekend
i just have to wait till the car comes back from the alloy refurbish as it is booked in tomorrow
but nearly there now finally the end is in site Smile

OK HERE WE GO,

How to fit a VXLINE ZENTEC GSI bumper.

Here is the VXLINE bumper back from paint and ready for assembly and fitting.

The first job is to fit the black trims ether side of the number plate
and the two tow eye covers.

Next fit the lower grill

Then fit the two indicator units.

Next fit the upper grill and number plate.

turn the bumper over and fit the two brackets
and the inside bumper trim

Next job remove the old bumper from the car
and bring it in to remove and swap the loom etc.

bumper removal How To can be found here.

http://www.vxoc.org.uk/forum/Thread-How-...r-Facelift

Remove the polystyrene crash limiter from the old bumper
this is just bonded to the bumper so pull it off and rebond to the new bumper

Next remove the loom from the old bumper
this is very easy just use long nose pliers to remove the clips and unplug the connectors from the lights
and just pull the temp sensor out from the grill
As you may have read above the vx line does not have front fogs
and my car does have fog lights
the fogs are not on the cambus monitoring
so they have just been left unplugged on the new bumper
and taped up to keep them dry and out the way
you will not get any errors by doing this

Then remove the bumper bracket support from the old bumper
this is just held in place by three screws you will have to remove one fog light unit
from the old bumper to get this out.

and that is all the parts you need from the old bumper
next fit the support bracket and the loom to the new bumper
and plug in the indicator connectors and temp sensor.

Fit the red tabs to the side of the bumper
there are two either side.

And that is it you are ready to fit the new VXLINE bumper to the car.

All part numbers are listed in the above posts for reference.

just a note here 2009 2012 pre facelift VXLINE bumpers fit pre facelift cars with no issues
if you were to fit a pre facelift bumper to a facelift 2012 2014
you would need to swap the two side bumper brackets on the car body for the pre facelift ones
as the fixings on the side of the pre facelift are different to the facelift
the same would apply if you were to fit a face lift VXLINE bumper to a pre facelift

the bumper will fit the face lift or pre face lift as long as the side brackets are swapped over
the same applies for face lifting a pre face lift standard bumper.

over all i am very happy the car looks totally different now just what i wanted. Smile

Thanks for all you help everyone cheers.
