It seems that the water in the door is rather common

It wasn't on mine but I retrofitted Navi950 with rear camera into a GTC.
As to the water in the door's Vauxhall put rubber bungs in the bottom of the doors 2 each door rather than letting the water out they hold the water in.
So we always advise to pull the bungs out and leave them out.
Astra-J 2.0 CDTI S/S
Retrofitted AFL, TPMS, Navi950, BT, DAB, Rear Camera, Infinity sound system, Towbar, Flexfloor & more.
I can do programming and retrofits using genuine GM MDI and Dealer software.

Had this water problem with my sports tourer only on rear doors with manual windows ,when adding led lighting to door cards which were off the car had a look at the bottom of door and there was a peice of trimming blocking the two water release holes it had actually came off from a channel that the window went down into the door, removed it stuck it back into the channel water left and not had it come back since, hope this helps
