Cambelt Interval on a 2.0 CDTI, 2011
#1
Hi all,

Whats the official, and also recommended Cambelt Change Interval on an Astra-J 2011, 2.0 CDTi?

When I bought the car, I was told 8 Years or 80k, im now hearing it could be 100k or 6 years?

Can you guys please advise as 3 Vauxhall garages have told me different things.

Thanks,
G.

It's 6years or 100K miles whichever comes first.

Haynes recommend 4yrs or 40K.

When I was buying my car I asked if it was chain or belt, the salesman went to the workshop to ask & said it was chain, If I'd been told belt I wouldn't of brought it.

I have been wondering if the chain from an older A20DTH would fit.

This is a cost I could have done without. Might look to get it done at the end of the summer break.

Got quote for £300 all in, inc waterpump. All Genuine Vauxhall parts and fitted and receipted by Vauxhall garage.

That sound OK?

Doesn't sound bad.

I Got a genuine timing belt kit for £54 a few years ago ready.
