How do you know how full the DPF is?

Hi folks,
 
How do you know how full the DPF is?
 
Im looking at some Astra-H's, so just wanted to know how I can tell how full the DPF is?

unfortunately you can not

A diagnostic check will tell you the current saturation levels of your DPF.

Edit: Sorry, didn't realise you were talking about an Astra H

Sorry folks, thats a typo from me, I am actually looking at the Astra J 2.0 CDTI's.

Then a garage with the right diagnostic kit should be able to tell you. When I had a bit of trouble with our dpf they told us the saturation levels before and after the regens.
