A garage have been driving my other half's car, out 3 times, one of the occasions it was parked on double yellows for 30 minutes, the garage haven't been much help saying it was just a test drive, it only went in for a suspension bush, they had car from 930 till 1230, and it seems they were using the car most of the time, what should we do

Forgot to say, it's all on camera

Contact garage manager or if a dealer then the manufacturer...

It's a local mot garage, I spoke to the owner who said, it was only a test drive chill out

If he had said, sorry we would be alright about it but the guy said don't bother coming here again and hung up

the local paper are coming at 12

Too me that sounds like they know they were in the wrong if he said that.

I always take a picture of my miles when I put the car in the garage more so when its a smaller garage.

I have had my own car pass me when its been in the garage and when I called I was told it was getting worked on I believe is said 'its up on the ramps as we speak' when it just drove past 2 mins ago.

The best thing you can do is put it in the local paper so can see what the garage is really like.

I've just picked my car up from dealers and they've done over 100miles in it.

100 miles is quite a significant amount!

That is around 2 hours of continues driving to get that amount don't up my neck of the woods.

You can understand it if something has been fixed then they advise some things like wheel bears and brakes need done also but I would say its still slightly high for that too.

After a repair the avg road test is 4miles long.

They had to fit a new turbo which I am sure didn't need 100miles road testing.

I think someone has taken it home for the weekend.

Yeah I know some guys who work for main dealers and they get to take cars home normally ones for sale but if a customer takes in a really nice car sometimes they do take them for a day.

They may have sent it away to get the turbo fitted most main dealers have a main workshop they may just have not wanted a bigger job clogging a smaller workshop but in the first case sounds like they are just using it
